David and Nicola Finch

Touch Wood Rings and Touch Wood Memorial Rings

Location: Williams Lake BC, Canada, on the Chilcotin Plateau
Products: Memorial jewelry
Pricing: Email for price conversation
Shipping: Canada Post. We charge the rate charged to us by Canada Post and normally ship Xpresspost within the US and Canada, and Air Mail overseas. Shipping costs are included in the quote.
Custom builds: All pieces are custom builds.
Materials: Clients send us branches of wood from their homes and farms. We save some in case they ever want a reproduction and the rest becomes available for other clients.  Stones and shells have collected the same way. We do not use any metals or fasteners. Our material is natural wood, a vegan glue, and spar urethane (derived from tree sap).  When inlay material other than ashes are requested, we always encourage the use of natural materials; river rock, dried flower petals, and rough stones.

While David crafts Touch Wood rings, Nicola photographs and writes, working with families to design their project, and keeping eveything running smoothly. She is a natural burial advocate and a death doula with a particular interest in community and family led death care.
For over 20 years, we have lived remotely on these 48 acres, off-grid in the Central Interior of British Columbia, Canada. We strive to live simply. Our work is a reflection of our values as much as it is a means of supporting ourselves. We believe in 'right livelihood'. And we believe in honouring and remembering our beloved dead in planet-friendly ways and so we offer this service to you. With love."
